In 1995, Olive Borovsky started the clogging weekend that many of us have fond memories of – AUSSIE CLOG. The idea for it originated from her desire to combine a love of Australian country music with her desire to encourage more Australian choreographers. Around 30 people attended the very first weekend that was held on the Gold Coast, in a horse stable with a cement floor. The story goes that they had to relocate saddles, and hay bales and had the horses watching them while they danced. Through the years, Aussie Clog has had other venues with the last one held at Kindilan, Redland Bay in 2017. In 2018, it was moved to Chermside, Brisbane.

This celebration of Australian music and choreography continues to bring cloggers from all over Australia. Our aim is to provide a weekend of fun with friends while offering clogging with a few added flavours.
